Jamie ‘Jai’ Morrison is an author, bikini competitor as well as a health, fitness and wellness provider.
Born in Dallas, Texas, Jamie’s love for reading started when she found the books, The Coldest Winter Ever (Sister Souljah) and Flyy Girl (Omar Tyree). Her passion for reading was the escape which got her through high school shortly after she and her siblings were sent to live with various family members. Fueled by the trials she faces as a young woman as well as a need to help others, Jamie shared her story in her first book 16 Years 2 Life.
Jamie joined the military after graduating high school in 2003, where she spent 13 years as a medical technician before getting a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies. Shortly after having her second child, Jamie started a health, fitness and wellness journey that would have her competing in fitness and bodybuilding competitions.
Always encouraging others, Jamie continues her journey of health, fitness, wellness, reading, and writing. Her second book Boots, Bibs, and Barbells focuses on encouraging women from all walks of life to chase their goals as well as helps take the fear out of meal planning. When Jamie is not writing, you can catch her in the gym, making soap and spending well-deserved quality time with family.
